Abstract Guidelines

Please read the following carefully before submitting your abstract for IBF 2026.

Categories for Paper Presentation

Presentations at IBF 2026 will be accepted under two categories:

  • Young Scientist Category: Delegates aged 40 years or below
  • Senior Consultant Category: Delegates aged above 40 years

Last date for abstract submission: 15th November 2025
All submissions must be made online.


Abstract Submission Requirements

Delegates are requested to provide the following details while submitting their abstracts:

  • Conference Registration ID (will be sent to registered delegates shortly)
  • Presentation Category: Young Scientist / Senior Consultant
  • Topic Category: e.g., Anatomy, Radiology, VNG Findings, BPPV, Ménière’s Disease, Acute Vestibular Syndrome, etc.
  • Title of the Paper

After Submission of Abstract

  • All abstracts will be reviewed and categorized by the Scientific Committee based on topic relevance.
  • Each accepted abstract will receive a Unique Identification Code (UIC).
  • After receiving your UIC, you must record your presentation with voice-over and submit it online.
  • Important: Do not include any video footage of yourself (including maneuver demonstrations).
  • Your presentation must display only the UIC and title on the first slide.
  • Do not include your name, institution, hospital, or city anywhere in the presentation.
  • You may add your UIC as a footer on each slide.
  • The final presentation (voice-over video) must be submitted by 15th December 2025.
  • Upload details will be shared on the IBF website and via registered email.
  • File name: Use your UIC as the file name to ensure a blinded review process.
  • Any presentation containing a visible presenter video will be disqualified from award consideration.

After Submission of Video Presentation

IBF takes pride in its association with leading experts in Neurotology and Neurology from India and abroad. Each submission will be reviewed by specialized sub-committees forming the IBF Scientific Committee.

Based on the review, presentations will be categorized as:

  • On-Stage Presentations
  • Poster Presentations

Awards and Recognition

Young Scientist Category
  • Certificates of Appreciation and Medals – for the Top 5 Presenters in both on-stage and poster categories.
  • The Winner will be awarded INR 50,000.
  • Runner-up will be awarded INR 20,000.
  • Complimentary registration for IBF 2027 for presenters ranked third, fourth, and fifth.
  • Barany Society Meeting 2026 (Shanghai, China): IBF will sponsor registration fees for the Top 2 candidates (based on merit).
  • Publication Support: IBF will assist young scientists in publishing their work in indexed journals. Presenters who publish within one year will receive a 25% discount on registration for IBF 2027.
Senior Consultant Category
  • Certificates of Appreciation and Medals for the Top 3 Presenters.
  • The Winner will be awarded INR 50,000.
  • The Runner-up will be awarded INR 20,000.
  • Complimentary registration for IBF 2027 for presenters ranked third, fourth, and fifth.

Important Note

Conference registration is mandatory to be eligible for abstract submission.

The abstract should not contain the name of the presenter anywhere. The first slide should contain the Topic of presentation and the registration number only
